Be
The soil will slowly be absorbed in my limbs;
The colors will slowly bleed under my skin.
The earth will slowly embrace me;
The canvas will slowly caress me.
For when I will be born;
For when I will be created.
Then I shall be,
What I am meant to be.

BHARTI VERMA

A storyteller, Bharti narrates through brush strokes, bringing abstract to lucid. In tune with her personality, Bharti works with layers, encoding varied human emotions within the core of her artworks, blending the profane with the profound, and concealing many surreal realms within.
Her expression of love for art and literature sprouted at an early age; she engaged with colours on canvas and words on paper with the same enthusiasm. After schooling in Saharanpur, she pursued English hons from Delhi University, completing her masters in English literature. Her two passions fuelled her further to explore the magical world of art as a medium to evolve the self that connected organically and intensely with nature and the magic hidden within. As the writer and the painter rooted deeper within her, Bharti started weaving stories that reflected unambiguously in her works.
If categorised broadly, her paintings are post-conceptual, visual narrations through impressions of trees, leaves, movements, and colours; from sacred groves of trees to lone standing oak, her works pulsate with the ancient mysteries and myths surrounding the forests. She believes that her work can express an endless range of human emotions and the fleeting existence, unbound and free, much as the way of her being.
The mystic and unknown worlds brought forth through her colour blends and brush strokes create sacred stories that take the viewer to beautiful reflections of our undying thoughts and emotions. Bharti’s work has an audience that expanse internationally, adorning the walls of art lovers who see nature as an extension of their inner self and vice versa.
