Bharti's paintings can broadly be categorized as post-conceptual, telling stories through impressions of trees, leaves, movements, and colors; from sacred groves of trees to a lone standing oak, her works are steeped in the ancient mysteries and myths surrounding the forests. These brushstrokes of magic, fantasy, mystery, and the unseen worlds are interwoven deeply into her struggles, happiness, spiritual growth and life journey.
Bharti's acrylic works like Witches of Eden Seeking Silence, Groves of Silence, Through Mist & Time to name a few, form The Witches Series. Her love affair with black & white is reflected deeply in the monochromatic paintings. She believes, just the juxtaposition of these two pigments can express an endless range of human emotions and fleeting existence, unbound and free, much in the way of her own being. Bharti believes in evolving in every moment; these moments spread over lifetimes and aeons; time is ever-changing, things decay and die, but they also transmutate, emerging, time and again, giving birth to the new (beings). The forests in her art are a beautiful reflection of our undying thoughts and emotions.
